SMR Youth Media Training Program
SMR YOUTH MEDIA TRAINING PROGRAM
Youth working in teams create, video tape, photograph , produce and edit a 5 minute or more video presentation on issues of relevance to them.
They learn to conceptualize their ideas, storyboard it or develop shot lists, write the scripts, do interviews if necessary, take still pictures, learn the fundamentals of videography and editing.
They sometimes will perform in videos if necessary.
The final edited video projects are presented to the community for viewing at an award and presentation event.
This programs runs about 10 weeks meeting weekly on the weekend or after school for 2-3 hours. could include a field trip for videotaping or photography training session
